Sometimes Ya Just Gotta Roll With It

It's official! We signed the papers this morning, and the house that we have been so fortunate to rent since our move is now ours!

So, our first "updates" to the house?? Not the orange and green wallpaper in the kitchen, not the orange curtains in our bedroom...but toilet seats!! No kidding, unglamorous, but very much needed as the old ones were literally falling apart. We did actually purchase a fridge last night as well, but due to the back order we will not receive it for 3-4 weeks (the green meany will live on for a awhile).

So the funny thing about purchasing toilet seats, is that we were unsure what to do with the blue toilet. Easy to replace the other ones...but with a blue toilet not so much. Replacing the entire toilet is not going to happen due to the odd nature of the toilet (it attaches to the wall rather than the floor) which would require much cost and plumbing. So anyway, in the toilet section at Lowes we find this clear plastic blue toilet seat. Designer no less, the most expensive one we bought. I hesitated about whether to purchase this one, and decided sometimes you just have to roll with what you have.

Now a picture of a toilet is not necessarily something one would post on a blog, but it is too funny to not include. What made it even funnier is the lady in line behind us who looked at our purchases and stated "I love the blue one!".
