The Lost Forty

On Father's Day we decided to do some exploring in our new area (other than the drives we had taken this winter). Kyle wanted to go to the "Lost Forty" in the Chippewa National Forest. So we loaded everyone up and went on the one mile trail (which is just about perfect for little legs). Parts of this forest are 350 to 500 years old, and the size of the white and red pines definitely is impressive (you can't drive through them...but still). The boys loved it, and they enjoyed reading all the signs along the trail. It was a fun trip for all, and it reminded me of the types of things Kyle and I did when we were dating and first married.
