State Swim Meet 2012

We recovered from both boys having strep to make it to the YMCA state swim meet. This was Ben's third year in a row of qualifying. This year he swam three events, 100 medley relay, 25 butterfly, and 200 freestyle relay. He had a great qualifying sections meet with a first place finish in his butterfly. Recent illnesses and travel affected his state meet. He did well, but not as well as his most recent meets. His medley relay placed 10th, he placed 12th in his butterfly (last year he was DQd when he swam this at state). His freestyle relay was DQd as a fellow swimmer didn't touch the wall with his feet when he did his flip turn. Here is a picture of Ben and his good friend Michael at the section meet.
