Nate participated in Poly Hockey with Special Olympics again this year. This year he was able to travel to the State games. We were even able to stay in St Louis Park.... very close to where we use to live. Actually in the hotel that Kyle's patents always use to stay in when they visited us. Nate's team didn't win any games (unlike the other Itasca team who were state champs). But for his team that is not what it is about. For Nate and his team (by far the youngest of all the teams) it was about learning to PAY ATTENTION! Plus they had fun! In addition to playing some hockey we also had a fun group of visitors (Mike, Sara, and the girls) and attended to celebration ceremonies (which never fail to bring a tear to my eyes), and attended the dance (at which Nate surprised everyone but us with his mad dancing skills). We also attended a UofM women's hockey game. The drive home was not so fun though. ... but we made it.
A blog for sharing stories about our family and our many adventures both big and small.
