Happy Birthday Nate!

Nate started his 8th year this morning by opening his new MP3 player. He was very excited about it. We went to the Children's Museum in Grand Rapids, took a drive, and went to dinner at Applebees (Nate has much better taste than Ben). We topped the night off with a dairy queen treat since Nate doesn't like cake. An enjoyable day. And now that we have hit 8 years old, we are three years past that five year-old mark that makes retinoblastoma (Nate's cancer) extremely rare. In April, we will be 5 years past the original tumor...yeah!

On the other hand, I am listening to Ben have an incredible temper tantrum. Not the kind a 6 year-old has, but the kind a two year-old has. The kind he use to have when we thought he possibly may have autism as well. He most certainly doesn't have autism, but the last two nights he has had these monster tantrums right before bed. Not sure what is going on there, but it is not fun!
