We brought the boys to one of their favorite community events the other night. It was their favorite in St. Louis Park, and it proved to be a favorite in Grand Rapids as well. The fire department open house is just as fun in Rapids! Of course the boys like the fire truck rides the best, and the rides given were quite long! Ben and I were in a smaller truck, and the driver even knew of my Grandpa (who was the fire chief for Proctor's volunteer department for many years). Afterwards, we went and saw Em (my sister-in-law's sister) at Brewed Awakenings, one of the coffee houses in Grand Rapids. There was a women for Obama event going on and Nate of course sees this and exclaims "A Rock A Bama" (John McCain is John Na Cane). Nate certainly has become politically savy this year!
