On Saturday, he got himself a very needed graduation gift, a brand new Toyota Tacoma. His Toyota T100 had 180,000 miles on it and has been acting up despite multiple attempts to fix it. Not only was this annoying, but (more seriously) it was looking as if it would impede on fishing and camping (especially now that we have more time for those activities). So, off he went to Bemidji, and came home with a really nice new truck. He deserves it! I am also so glad he has it, because fishing opener and our first camping trip of the year is next weekend.
It is a good thing the weather has been nice lately, because Ben also has some new wheels. He has moved up from the dirt bike phase to a "real bike". Last Saturday while Kyle was getting a new truck, the boys and I walked down to the local bike shop to pick up his new bike. He rode home on this new 27 speed bike. He has only fallen off once so far (and unfortunately he discovered what that higher bar can do to males).
Nate is trucking along (currently on 3 weeks of antibiotics for a sinus infection). We are getting all sorts of letters to prepare everyone for the move to middle school next year, and he is quite excited. We will see if that excitement carries into next year!
Speaking of nice weather, it is 70 degrees and sunny out today on my day off. Every window in the house is open. But, I write with road construction noises in the background. Anyone planning on visiting Grand Rapids, stay away from 169/Pokegama Ave. It's a mess! Also a mess is the order of the pictures below. When using my phone Blogger doesn't let me edit the photos or change the order of them!
