When we got home today, we realized that we now have lake front property. Well maybe not a lake, but a huge, about 2 feet deep, pond right at the north side of our house. We weren't getting a lot of water in the basement...just seeping in a tiny bit. But since there is more snow to melt back there and the worse of this rain is yet to come, Kyle drove back into work and got a pump to pump it into the street. I think our neighbors are very thankful as well! They said they have never seen it this bad before. These pictures just don't do it justice.
My mom and dad are stemming a flood at their place too. By yesterday afternoon, Mom had shop vacced over 30 gallons from the basement.
