Well, we have arrived. And so has all of our stuff in MANY MANY MANY boxes (Although those wardrobe boxes make great houses and kept the boys occupied for a day of unpacking). The boys have adjusted well....incredibly well. Now they just need to adjust to a new school next week. We are sick of fast food, but now able to have "real" meals in our new kitchen. We have been to the library twice, and are loving our new town. The boys have visited their schools, and met their teachers. So far I am pleasantly satisfied with everyone who will be working with them. I am relieved to have internet back, our phone hooked up and cable television (we now get more than one fuzzy station). The boys and I survived "ruffing" it with no furniture for a week. Kyle painted and cleaned like crazy, and then drove in the middle of the night to be with us when the movers arrived.
Having movers pack and haul our stuff was the way to go, and nothing was broken. Having my Dad come up and watch the boys while the movers were unloading all of our stuff was DEFINITELY the way to go. Having family at our house on Christmas Day for the first time in years was one of the many things in the last two weeks that just felt so right.
We love Grand Rapids, we really love the house. Now we just need to get our routine with schools and work established and we will be set.
