Almost Christmas Already??

Where did the time go??

We have been doing a lot since my last post. Starting with Thanksgiving weekend. We had the opportunity to go down to Mike and Sara's this year for a wonderful Thanksgiving meal with the Vannestes and the Johnsons. It was a great day filled with good friends and family that was rewarding in many ways. The next day it was off to Schmidtt music to buy Christmas music for my piano. Of course I also found some good Nora Jones and Beatles music as well :) Then it was time for a family wedding, which was also a good time. Lets just say the kids were not the only ones who appreciated the pizza dinner, which was followed by Cheesecake made by a friend of mine who owns Muddy Paws Cheesecake. Simply the best cheesecake ever. On Saturday, before heading home, we decided to go check out Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis. Nate especially got a huge kick out of this as he LOVES the city. Although he almost took a guy out on a scooter because he was looking at the tall buildings instead of where he was going.....

This fun, but exhausting weekend was followed quickly by Kyle preparing for his latest trip to Arkansas. Two weeks this time, which feels like a long time but the kids and I are hanging in there. To help fill the time, the kids and I drove to Cloquet yesterday to visit my good friend Jenn and her family. We had a great time having lunch, checking out a local Holiday Expo, and the kids enjoyed playing with the Christmas village set up by Jenn's mom.

We are excited about the small amount of snow we have gotten over the last couple of days. At least things are starting to look white as we head into the next couple of weeks of Holiday programs and parties at school. Now if I can just get my Christmas shopping done!
