Over Memorial Day Weekend, Nate broke his glasses. It wasn't a big deal because they were still under warranty and would be replaced for no cost. However after waiting more than a week for his glasses (while he wore his sun glasses to school everyday), a different set came in. It was the same frame style but a different color because his frame was on back-order. But, at least he had something other than sunglasses to wear. A month and a half later, and we still hadn't seen his frames come in. We went in for an eye exam and they found that his prescription had changed. So, now we needed to replace the lenses on a pair of glasses that wasn't even his to begin with...with no assurance that we would even get the right ones in. So, we decided to get a new pair of glasses altogether. He picked out a cute frame, and they came in quickly three days later. He was excited about them, liked them and they looked really cute on him. I breathed a sigh of relief to finally have the whole thing over with. The next day we were at the park (keep in mind he has had his new glasses one day now) and he tripped...AND BROKE HIS GLASSES!!!! You can only imagine what words were running through my head but not coming out my mouth. They were able to replace just the temple piece that had broken, and it did not forfeit the warranty at all. At least THAT happened with ease!
