Nate unfortunately got sick after two days and missed his last 2 running events. However, he had an AMAZING time the other days. He was in his element. Talkative, joyful, and full of spunk. He truly embraced the entire spirit of the event. He got a silver medal for his softball throw (too weak still to do the shot put). He sang Karaoke "Ghostbusters" in front of a crowd of people. I can't WAIT until next year!!!
We even had a bit of an adventure getting back to the hotel one night! High winds, heavy rain, and flooding almost got us stranded on the freeway.
Top it all off with a pizza and swimming party with the entire team, and other than having to scratch his events and go home early because of illness it was a fun weekend for all.
